Valid Tickets:
Only Vintage Trains Limited tickets are valid on these Vintage Trains excursions & the Shakespeare Express.
Juniors
&
Child Fares:
Reduced price travel for juniors (age 5-15
years) is available on the Shakespeare Express. Infants under 5
may travel free and should not occupy a seat. Only one child
per adult qualifies for these concessions.
Family tickets:
These
cover either 2 Adults & 2 children (age 5-15
years) or 1
Adult & 3 children travelling together in standard
class only and need to be booked by close of business on the Friday before travel directly from Vintage Trains in order to qualify for the special
fare.
Group
Travel (12 or more adults):
Call us for special group prices. The Group Travel page gives further details of the special arrangements
we have for group bookings.
Stewards are on duty to answer any questions, to assist passengers who may need
some extra help and to try to make your journey comfortable and pleasurable. About our Stewards 
Passengers With Special Needs - we can accommodate a small number of people using wheelchairs.
It is essential to contact Vintage Trains directly to discuss availability
of our facilities and your requirements before making a booking.
No Smoking:
Customers are reminded that as from 1st July 2007 UK government legislation comes into effect prohibiting smoking in public places. Areas designated 'NO SMOKING' include ALL CARRIAGES ON ALL TRAINS AS WELL AS RAILWAY PLATFORMS AND PREMISES.
No Dogs:
Vintage Trains regrets that Dogs are NOT allowed on any train except for Specially
Trained Dogs for the Disabled.
Train Times:
All departure & arrival times quoted are approximate. The actual times for individual trains will only be notified to Vintage Trains by the rail authorities near to the departure day. So finalised times will be confirmed to travellers only usually within 7 days of the trip.
Dining:
A Dining Car Service operates
in Premier Dining. Seats and meal(s) must be pre-booked directly
by close of business on the Friday before travel directly from Vintage Trains. A meal
must be taken in at least one direction (please contact the Vintage Trains office to check on availability, as seats are limited). Special dietary requirements must be requested
when making your booking. All dining must be pre-booked.
Juniors & Children within Dining Cars:
There is no special child menu & no concessionary meal tariff fare. We regret we are unable to accommodate infants under 5 in the dining cars.
