Introducing
.....
The Shakespeare Express is a scheduled summer Sundays steam
train service, which has now been operating between
Birmingham & Stratford-upon-Avon for
nine seasons. The locomotive and coaches are also used at other
times by our operating company, Vintage Trains Limited, on excursions
to places of interest for the general public as well as those with
railway interests. This website is aimed at promoting leisure trips
- both the regular service trains and the day excursions under the
®Shakespeare Express registered trademark.

Vintage Trains Limited .....
is the operating company for the collection of locomotives preserved,
restored and maintained at Tyseley Locomotive Works by the Birmingham
Railway Museum Trust. This includes a large collection of
express steam engines and smaller tank engines. The trust's aim
is to use them for their intended purpose i.e. on the main line,
so that people may experience the golden age of steam hauled trains. |
